Jim King Firefighter Memorial 5K Race
What: A certified 5K road race (PA-07006WB) through Athens Borough and downtown.
When: 9:00am Saturday, June 21, 2008.
Where: Start and finish at Athens Township Fire Hall on Herrick Ave.

Race day registration and packet pickup: 7:45 – 8:45 a.m. in Fire Hall (gymnasium). No registration after 8:45.
Course: Mainly flat, fast course run on city streets.
Awards: age/sex group winner awards (9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over)
Awards to winning team in the Fire Dept./Police Dept. & EMS Personnel.
Awards - Top 3 male/female registered walkers.
Top overall male/female finisher.
Note: The race directors reserve the right to reject any entry for any reason. The race is run with traffic on city streets. Baby strollers are allowed. Those observed displaying poor manners towards motorists or not obeying the traffic marshals may be disqualified.
